Jacuzzi Thermostats are an important part of the Jacuzzi puzzle. The Thermostat regulates the temperature and switches the Heating Element on and off.
These Thermostats usually have an Built in safety feature. When the Temp is set on say 30 Degrees and you want to turn it up to 40 degrees, you can’t just turn it to 40 Degrees. From 30 Degrees, you need to turn it back to zero and then to 40 Degrees.
The best way to test this Thermostat is by turning it from left to right. If it makes a clicking sound, it is most probably fine. If it doesn’t click it might have a problem.
Note: When draining your Jacuzzi it is important to remember that there is a heating element that might get damaged if not done correctly.

Jacuzzi Two Way Air Switches are used when there are more than one bellow button on the top of the Jacuzzi Shell. Air Switches are attached to the Bellow Buttons by means of 3 mm Air Pipes. One Switch activates one component.
Jacuzzi Two Way Air switch
Four Way Air Switches are used when there is only one Bellow Button on top of the Jacuzzi Shell. This one Air Switch can activate three different components by continuously pressing it till the desired component is on.
Jacuzzi Four Way air switch
In some cases where there are more than one Bellow Button on the Jacuzzi, but the Air Pipe has somehow come loose from the Bellow Button and it cannot be fished out, we will then suggest to the customer to install a four way air switch to solve his problem of switching components on and off from within the Jacuzzi.
Flat Jacuzzi Air Buttons are intended for installations where the Pump System is not further than 5 meters from the actual Jacuzzi.
Jacuzzi Mushroom Air Buttons
Jacuzzi Mushroom Bellows are by far the most popular type of bellow button. This button can effectively activate components up to 10 meters from the Jacuzzi.
Electronic Jacuzzi Bellow Button
Electronic Jacuzzi buttons work up to any distance, but are difficult to find due to most of the major Jacuzzi manufacturers closing down.
Note: When trying to heat the Jacuzzi it is an good idea to keep this Dial closed at all times, as it sucks Cold Air in to the water channel.

The Jacuzzi Venturi System or better known as an Air Control Dial, is situated on top of your Jacuzzi Shell. When opened, air is sucked in to the water channel, which increases the Jacuzzi Jets Pressure tremendously.
Note: Jacuzzi Air Blower is easy to replace, you should be careful not to switch it on, directly after applying the glue. The fumes of the glue go into the electric motor and once activated, it acts like a bomb as the fumes are ignited by the spark of the electric motor.
Usually the back end, which is not attached to the pipes, shoot off. And, depending on the quality of the PVC glue you are using, that will determine the size of the explosion. If you need professional assistance with installing your blower please Click Here Now!!
Jacuzzi Air Blowers, blow air in to the Jacuzzi Air Channel, which is situated in the seat of your Jacuzzi, the Air Channel distributes the Air evenly over the whole Jacuzzi. Jacuzzi Manufacturers use an alternative method of injecting the Air into the water channel. One of these ways are to connect the Jacuzzi Air Blower to the Hydro Therapy Massage Jets, this results in the pressure of the Jets increasing tremendously.
The problem with this is that if you should massage your muscles with this strong stream of water, it could damage your muscles more than sooth and relax them. The whole idea of blowing air in to the water is to increase the oxygen levels in the water
Jacuzzi Air Blowers can be run for 20 min at a time, then it must be switched off. Wait 10 min to cool down and then on again. The reason being that they have a single stage motor
All of these black blowers were manufactured by a company called Quality®, who make a whole range of Jacuzzi & Swimming Pool Products.
The motor inside this plastic casing is also used in vacuum cleaners, but in this specific application it is used to blow and not suck. Most of these blowers have a single stage motor inside, causing it to get very hot due to the air inlet restrictions.
On the two stage motor, there is an extra fan attached to the shaft of the motor allowing the motor to be cooled while in operation. Tests we have done on these two stage motors, have concluded that you can run that motor effectively for 9 hours on end without the glue melting or the pipes sagging.
The most strain this motor can have is when you switch it off and the water from the Jacuzzi fills up the air channel. Once the blower is switched on it has to blow all that water out the air channel before it can start bubbling from the seat.
The correct way to install a blower. If the blower is not higher then the water level, a double goose neck needs to be plumbed in order for the water not to push back into the blower.
Jacuzzi lights play an important role in creating an awesome illuminating experience in your Jacuzzi, which adds to the ambiance. Different types of therapy lights are also available. Some people like to install Swimming Pool Lights in their Jacuzzi. Honestly, not a good idea. Swimming Pool Parts Manufacturers come and go, and the last thing you want is a massive hole in the Jacuzzi.
The whole weight of the Jacuzzi rests on its Foot Well, which, in bigger Jacuzzi’s, could be up to 3 000 Kg. Cutting a 30 cm hole in this support structure is not a good idea.
Note: Depending on the amount of pumps you have installed, at least one of them will be directly connected to theheater. If you intend switching your Jacuzzi on please make sure that you turn thethermostatto Zero or if you can find the Switch for the heater you can turn that off too.
Also make sure there is enough water in the Jacuzzi to at least cover the seats. Some Jacuzzi’s won’t switch on until you get the water to the required level. Basically you can divide Jacuzzi Jet Pumps into 2 Classes:
Jacuzzi Jet Pump – Self Priming or Swimming Pool Pump
Self Priming means the pump can be situated higher than the level of the water in the Jacuzzi itself. So if there is water in the Jacuzzi, the pump should be able to fill itself up within 5 – 6 Seconds. Once the pump is full, water should be spraying from the jets slowly at first, but more powerful after say 30 seconds.
Jacuzzi Jet Pump – Self Draining
Jacuzzi .6 KW Self Draining Circulation Pump
Self Draining means the pump MUST be situated LOWER than the level of the water in the Jacuzzi itself.
Notice that this pump doesn’t have a Basket or another name for it is a leave trap.
Jacuzzi Jets are mostly manufactured from SABS Approved Polymers that fuse together very well with PVC Pipes once PVC weld or Tangit has been applied to both surfaces.
There are many variations of these jets on the market. The most common would be the 50 mm / 32 mm pipe combination. Meaning that the water channel runs in the 50 mm pipe and the Venturi Air System is connected to the 32 mm pipe.
50-32 Jacuzzi Jets
This jet has a venturi system, which allows for air to be sucked in to the water channel to boost the Jacuzzi Jets Pressure.
The other type of popular Jacuzzi Jets are the 32 mm / 32 mm configuration. These type of Jacuzzi Jets are used in installations where there is not adequate enough space.

The Venturi system is attached to an Air Control (a type of dial situated on top of your Jacuzzi).
